Product Design Lead

Share Ventures (“Share”) is a venture “studio” – meaning we both invent and invest from the ground up. We are a venture firm that builds companies. We are looking for a product lead to join our growing team in Playa Vista, CA.

If you are a builder, this is your dream role. You will be designing multiple products per year.

You’ll also be thinking as a “grand architect” – how to build tools and processes to efficiently experiment and build companies. You’ll bring to table the latest in product design best practices and tools and you’ll leverage your expertise managing fluidly between our full-time team and contractor resources.

You’ll help hire other team members, especially in product and design, and help coach, mentor, and grow their skillsets.

What you’ll do

• serve as the “grand architect” - make process, tool, and component decisions that enhance the venture studio model

• lead with a deep skillset in the processes of product creation

• manage a team of product stakeholders – design, management, engineering

• brainstorm and create artifacts for feedback from sketches to higher fidelity prototypes

• draft user stories, experience flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes

• help discover the user needs and pain points and represent the user experience across the product development team

• dive into analytics and research to unearth actionable insights

• product specifications and assets for final release

What you have

• 4+ years professional UX/UI or product design experience within a startup, agency, consultancy, or SaaS company

• Experience working on a collaborative team working directly with product managers and engineers to implement software design solutions

• A portfolio of work that captures your thought process, workflow and design skills across various projects

• Excellent presentation, communication and organization skills

• Ability to time manage and meet deadlines when needed

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
